This is the personal information that we collect per service:

When you create an account
We collect your contact and some very basic demographic information in order to create an account for you and for you to operate the Runiverse. You are then optionally able to provide additional information within your account.

When you connect an app or device
As part of connecting to an app or device you are required to consent to the sharing of information with us. The information provided will vary on the app or device used but can contain information such as the locations you have exercised, the route taken, and your heart rate. You are also able as part of posting these distances to add comments and photos.

When you manually record distances
You are able to manually record distances and the activities completed. You are also able to add comments or photos to accompany the details of the exercise completed.

When you participate in a virtual event or a virtual challenge
If you join an event or challenge by us that is not free of charge, you will need to put payment details with our third party payment provider. We use a third party payment provider and they will collect information for taking the payment and sending this to us. We will not be provided with this information from the third party.

When you log details of an attended event
You are able to manually record attendance at events, for these we record the event details and date, this information is usually publically available on the event organisers website.

When you contact us via social media, email us or use a live chat feature
We will collect your contact information and also collect the contents of your communication.

When you sign up for our newsletter
When you sign up to receive our newsletter we'll collect your email address. We will also collect details about how you interact with newsletters we send e.g. did you open the email.

Anonymised information
We may collect statistical information about your visit to our website to help us improve it.
Answer: Our systems DO NOT use client-side cookies. We do however use 'sessions', which are an essential server-side cookies as part of the user access functions (logging in). These are used purely during the 'session' in operation and are cleared once the browser window is closed off.

    Answer: On accepting an event or challenge, the following information will be available to other users within the challenge:
  • first name and surname
  • posted distances and times on a cumulative basis within the leader board No other information will be shared with other users.

We use appropriate technical, organisational, and administrative security measures to protect any information we hold from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. You must prevent unauthorised access to your account by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
